One of my other passions in life is food and I’d like to share some of my favourite recipes with you on these pages. I’ve always been interested in health and nutrition and particularly in making my own food. I grew up in a household that went to the farmer for milk, went to a spring for water, ate rye bread and made sauerkraut in the basement. My Dad would fish and hunt. I’ve been a vegetarian and made my own tofu. I can’t begin to count how many loaves of bread I’ve baked in my day.
More recently I have gone gluten free and love the diversity of working with different flours than wheat flour. My first foray into baking gluten free was with coconut flour and I still love the simplicity of recipes using coconut flour but am happy to work with other flours such as bean and rice. I hope you try some of these recipes and enjoy them as much as I do.
